When Raymond
M. Deméré founded the corporation that would become
the Colonial Group in the early 1920's, he had little more than his
imagination to go on. What he believed became reality, and America’s
insatiable appetite for gas, oil, and petroleum products helped lead
the Colonial Group toward success. Over the decades, we have grown steadily, expanding into new markets throughout the South and cultivating business relationships that span the globe. We now have more than a dozen subsidiaries in industries ranging from wholesale and retail marketing of gas and oil to liquid and dry bulk storage. While our facilities and operations have become decidedly more modern, our corporate philosophy has remained the same - to be successful you must always earn the respect and confidence of those with whom you do business.
